Real Still Lifes

Alexa Meade has taken still life painting to a whole new level-she has literally stilled life. She has managed to create a technique that involves a plethora of art mediums including painting, photography, portraiture, and even performance. Her process involves painting on real people so that they blend into her painted backgrounds. This in turn gives the illusion that the subjects are painted figures, and not in fact alive. I know I would have to do a double look if I saw the guy below walking on the subway!
